Headstand Workshop

This workshop is an exploration of headstand as a mindful, intelligent practice, not a rush to get upside down.

We’ll break headstand down step by step, focusing on strength, alignment, confidence, and nervous system safety. You’ll learn how to prepare the body properly, how to use the wall and props effectively, and how to build a headstand that feels stable, supported, and sustainable.

This session is just as much about the journey as the pose itself. Whether you’re working toward your first headstand, refining your technique, or simply curious about inversions, you’ll be guided with options that meet you exactly where you are.

What we’ll explore:

  • Shoulder, core, and upper-body preparation

  • Proper head, neck, and arm placement

  • Safe ways to enter and exit headstand

  • Using the wall, blocks, and variations

  • Overcoming fear and building trust upside down

  • When not to practice headstand

No pressure to balance freely in prep stages is fully welcome.

Suitable for:

Those with some yoga experience who want to deepen their inversion practice in a safe, supportive environment.

Not suitable for:

Recent neck injuries, uncontrolled high blood pressure, glaucoma, or if advised otherwise by a medical professional.
